plants, food

After a wonderful brunch at Qun Xui Tang of black sugar moji, tea cakes, xuimai, mushrooms, dried squid, edamame and bubble tea, Toma and I took the metro to the botanical gardens, marveling at the familiar houseplants now of gigantic proportion. Later we wandered the nearby lanes with combinations of ruined Japanese houses and ostentatious corporate architectural edifaces. Later to Yong Kang Jie whre we ate mango shave ice with kiwi and strawberries topped with custard and cream. Stopped here and there to marvel at the cool designs of the shops around Qing Tian lanes. Finely, back to the family neighborhood in search of a late snack, we found a stall making cun you bing, andi asked theowner if she knew anyone in the area who sold lu rou fan. “right next to me” she pointed, so we ended up having both at her tables. It rained while we ate and stopped when we did, so we strolled thorough the cleansed lanes to A-Ma’s neighborhood where we got some fruit drinks for the family. We had kiwi with YangLeDuo.
