Got a taste of my nephew Coleman’s latest composition “The Dopest” on his Crocigator<\/a> myspace blog. \u00a0Kids nowadays — I’ve been running Live<\/a>, Digital Performer<\/a>, and Komplete<\/a> (especially Kontakt<\/a>!) for seems like ages now and these old grey cells are\u00a0only humbled by the\u00a0sysiphean transition from imagination to reality<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, here are are few examples of other tunes that are capturing my imagination of late (dig it, Coolman!). \u00a0The last one is a test recording from vinyl\u00a0thru a Dynavector P-75 mkII<\/a> phono stage using a Dynavector 10×5<\/a> cartridge on a chopped<\/a> Thorens TD160 (input thru a Presonus Firebox<\/a> DAI). \u00a0(BTW: all of them have been severely downmixed to ease bandwidth, sorry…)<\/p>\n
